Louis Daguerre
Louis Daguerre was born in Corneille’s-en-Parisis, Val-d'Oise, France. He was born on November 18th 1787. Daguerre had an interest in architecture, theatre design, and panoramic painting. He was an apprentice in the three fields of his interest for Pierre Prévost. Pierre Prévost is known for being the first French panorama painter. Daguerre had an adept skill for theatrical illusion with later resulted in his invention of the diorama. In 1829, Daguerre partnered with Nicéphore Niépce, an inventor who had produced the world's first heliograph in 1822. Louis Daguerre also invented the Daguerreotype. The Daguerreotype is the first practical process of photography. In addition to being an inventor and an apprentice, Daguerre was also a French painter and physicist. Daguerre died on 10 July 1851 in Bry-sur-Marne. Bry-sur-Marne is located approximately 7 miles from Paris.
